“I am thrilled to still be involved in Fantasy Camp as a consultant, and to help Coach Brian Kelly kick off his inaugural season leading the Fighting Irish.
As we have done since 2003, this Camp will provide ND fans with a true insider’s look into the program, which is especially dynamic this year with the new coaching staff in place. I am confident that any men who attend will be amazed at the access they get, and what they learn about Notre Dame Football.”
Patrick Steenberge, Camp Founder
From 2003-2008 the ND Football Fantasy Camp was a monumental success, as some 244 different fans became Fighting Irish players for a few very special days. While some of these ‘players’ and ‘honorary coaches’ were happy to have this experience once in their lifetime, there were many who returned for numerous years, with a handful attending all 6 years.
To each it was a unique time in life, allowing the opportunity to truly get inside Notre Dame football, to personally interact with many staff and former greats who helped forge the traditions of Notre Dame. They also created and developed lifelong friendships among themselves that will remain for many years to come.
These men were also happy to help the Notre Dame Monogram Club, and assisted in donating over $250,000 to its scholarship fund.
Patrick Steenberge, ND Class of ’73 and 1970-’71 letterman as quarterback, is proud to have created this idea, brought it to the university, and worked with so many wonderful people to help it succeed.
